Choosing Where to Publish Your Research: The Web of Knowledge

Look here to find out the high impact journals in your area, ranked by citation and impact. Impact is the most useful indicator of a journal's reach. It is a good idea to target high ranking journals for your publications.

On the Web of Knowledge website, select Journal Citation Reports on the Select a Database tab. You can then search the Social Sciences Edition, or Sciences Edition, and view journals by Subject Category. After choosing which subject category you would like to search, select Sort by Impact Factor to see the rankings of journals.
